Sturdy, heavy-duty farm jack has a multitude of uses
The Laser Tools High Lift Farm Jack (part number 7665) is a heavy-duty lever-ratchet operated jack designed to lift or pull a maximum load of 2500kg and can raise a load up to 1.06 metres (42"). There are many applications for this sort of jack, from lifting machinery, vehicles or equipment, to removing fence posts and tree stumps. The upper jaw is adjustable on the jack column, allowing the jack to be also used as a clamp.
This is a very versatile bit of kit that can serve a large number of purposes from lifting engines to winching cars up hills, etc. The latch jaw mechanism can be slid to the initial height rather than having to ratchet the jaw into position, saving a lot of time. Just lift the jaw mechanism to the correct height, lock it in place and you’re ready to go. Steady pulls on the handle will lift the load up to the desired height. Once you need to lower the load, a firm push down on the stub of the reversing latch with your boot will reverse the mechanism and further ratcheting will lower the load.
The jack is equipped with a sturdy and very strong cast iron base, but for extra stability the optional support base (part number 7666) simply fits under the metal base of the jack, spreading the load and designed to reduce the chance of the jack sinking on soft ground. The optional handle lock (part number 7667) simply presses down into place and secures the jack handle against the main column, making it easier and safer to transport and store.
