1/2" Drive

Designed to attach to a 1/2” drive breaker bar or torque wrench the Laser 8696 50mm open spanner allows the user to undo the locking nut found on many BMW vehicles so the prop-shaft rear joint can be pushed off the differential input spline.

  • Applications include: BMW X5 (2006 to 2013), X3 (2010 to 2017), 3 Series (2005 to 2019), 5 Series (2010 to 2017).
  • 50mm open ended spanner head with 1/2”D. Use with Part Nos. 8005 & 8469.
  • Used to loosen and tighten the rear prop-shaft nut on vehicles listed.
  • Use with 1/2”D breaker bar, ratchet or torque wrench as required.
  • Equivalent to OEM 33 0 080. Use in accordance with OEM instructions.

Der Laser 8696 50-mm-Gabelschlüssel ist für den Anschluss an einen Gelenkschlüssel oder Drehmomentschlüssel mit 1/2"-Antrieb vorgesehen und ermöglicht das Lösen der bei vielen BMW-Fahrzeugen zu findenden Sicherungsmutter zur Abnahme des hinteren Gelenks der Kardanwelle von der Eingangsverzahnung des Differentials.

  • Einsatzmöglichkeiten u. a.: BMW X5 (2006 bis 2013), X3 (2010 bis 2017), 3er (2005 bis 2019), 5er (2010 bis 2017).
  • 50-mm-Gabelschlüsselkopf mit 1/2"-Antrieb.
  • Zum Lösen und Festziehen der Kardanwellenmutter hinten bei den aufgeführten Fahrzeugen.
  • Je nach Bedarf mit einem Gelenkschlüssel, einer Ratsche oder einem Drehmomentschlüssel mit 1/2"-Antrieb verwenden.
  • Entspricht OEM 33 0 080. Die Verwendung hat in Übereinstimmung mit den OEM-Anweisungen zu erfolgen.

Laser Tools introduces final drive prop-shaft tool set for BMW Models

Laser Tools has recently introduced their BMW Final Drive Prop Shaft Tool Set (part number 9027), a must-have solution for professionals and hands-on BMW enthusiasts. This specialised kit is designed to simplify the removal and installation of the prop shaft and drive flange on a wide range of BMW models — designed to be used with 1/2" breaker bars and associated sockets, the kit includes specifically sized spanners and holding tools to allow the user to separate the prop shaft from the drive flange and then remove the drive flange.

Care has to be taken with this job so as not to damage splines, seals or to affect the differential pre-load or the transmission. When used following BMW’s recommended process, these tools simplify the often-challenging task of separating the prop shaft and drive flange, making the process more efficient and less time-consuming.
